The girl behind the video, Leah Kauffman, showed up on MSNBC Live over the weekend. According to the internets she’s 21 years old and attends Temple University. The brains behind the deal appears to be the same one that did box in my box. Talk about your 15m of fame. Regardless of what you might think on an intellectual level I wonder how much this will actually resonate with people. It is a catchy (if simple) tune after all - well produced given it’s youtube-esque roots. Such is the beauty of the age we live in - anyone can produce a nice, well produced video now for mass consumption. I think obama picks up votes and even more name recognition off of it whether he wants to or not.
